Job Description

The Senior Security Automation Engineer designs and delivers automation solutions that improve security, reduce manual work, and increase team productivity. This role partners with developers, engineers, and team members to identify challenges and build scalable solutions using AI, cloud technologies, and automation. You are curious, customer-focused, and passionate about using AI to transform the way teams work. You will report to the Director of Security and Risk.

Responsibilities

- You will design, develop and maintain automation solutions that improve security operations, vulnerability management, compliance activities, and other business processes.
- Build and support AI-powered applications, workflows, and services using large language models, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.
- Partner with security teams, engineers, developers, and stakeholders to understand challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize automation, AI, and data-driven services within Amazon Web Services and other cloud-native environments.
- Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and reporting processes are in place to increase the accuracy, reliability, and trustworthiness of automated solutions.
- Promote best practices in automation, AI, and data-driven decision making by sharing knowledge, mentoring team members, and encouraging continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, cloud technologies, automation, data engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Experience developing automation solutions, data pipelines, or AI-powered applications using languages such as Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience working with artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, or AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting applications, automation frameworks, or data services in Amazon Web Services cloud environments.Knowledge of data quality, governance, monitoring, and evaluation practices that help ensure secure, reliable, and auditable solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-focused mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to learning.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
