What to Expect from Your Summer at Resultant

Spend 10 weeks learning, contributing, and making connections at Resultant. You’ll work alongside Rezzers on meaningful projects, gain exposure to client work, and see firsthand how our M&A team helps clients navigate complex transactions and technology challenges. Beyond your day-to-day work, you’ll connect with Rezzers across the organization through coffee chats, client spotlights, and interactive sessions covering topics like AI, consulting, communications, data, sales, and more. You’ll also collaborate with your intern cohort on a group project—giving you the opportunity to build new skills, solve a real business challenge, and make an impact of your own.

As a member of our fast-paced team, you won’t just be a consultant; you’ll be a strategic advisor and an execution partner for Private Equity firms, investment banks, and Fortune 500 companies.

We provide complete, senior-led teams that support the entire merger and acquisition lifecycle from identifying value during pre-close diligence to realizing that value through post-close technology and data execution.

Responsibilities include:

- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and conference calls to take notes, track action items, and support follow-up communications.
- Conduct thorough research on potential and current private equity, investment banking, or corporate clients, including industry trends, competitors, and key business challenges.
- Analyze client business models and technology needs to identify potential solutions and opportunities.
- Summarize findings in written reports or in-depth presentations for internal teams and client discussions.
- Leverage AI and advanced tools to organize data, insights, and strategic recommendations into clear and concise presentation formats including dashboards, graphs, diagrams, and excel exhibits for internal and client review.
- Assist in assessing complex client technology infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and financial metrics.
- Support the development of data-driven recommendations by conducting quantitative and qualitative assessments in condensed timelines.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, software tools, and digital platforms that can be leveraged for client solutions.
- Assist with system integration assessments or basic configuration tasks where appropriate.
- Work closely with internal consulting teams, technology experts, and others to support ongoing projects.

Requirements include:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction
- Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter and take initiative to contribute actively to discussions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess data, trends, and potential solutions.
- Ability to perform research and summarize meaningful findings concisely.
- Basic understanding of technology concepts, such as databases, software development principles, and cloud computing.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and platforms
- Able to clearly present data and recommendations to both team members and clients.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with other consultants on various projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to visual design and critical details.
- Ability to think critically, analyze problems, and develop strategic solutions based on client needs.
- Strong interest in understanding client businesses and the consulting process.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with client information.
- Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to changing business environments or client demands.
- Open to taking on various roles and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Some of the qualifications and skills we are expecting include the following:

- Rising Senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in a relevant field of study, preferably graduating in the Spring of 2028.
- Please note, this internship has a start date in June 2027.
- Must live in the Chicago, IL area during the summer of 2027.
- Expectation of 3 days in office per week at a minimum.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
