The Commercial Insights Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting commercial, program, operational, and customer data to deliver clear, actionable insights that support client performance, program optimization, and business decision-making. This role serves as a key analytical partner to internal teams and strategic clients, translating complex data into meaningful reporting, identifying trends and opportunities, and supporting the resolution of reporting, training, and program needs.
The Commercial Insights Analyst manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and works collaboratively across departments to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality analytical solutions. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication and client service abilities, and the confidence to participate in client-facing discussions and cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret commercial, customer, program, and operational data to identify trends, insights, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop, prepare, and maintain accurate, timely, and meaningful reports and dashboards for management and strategic clients.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that support business and client objectives.
- Provide analytical support across multiple projects simultaneously, establishing timelines, managing priorities, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, professional, long-term relationships with assigned strategic clients.
- Participate in strategic client conference calls related to open-case reporting, training needs, complex account customizations, escalated issues, and other client priorities.
- Present analytical findings, performance trends, recommendations, and program updates to various levels of management and client stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), enhance programs, streamline processes, and increase client value.
- Partner with Valeris leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective, sustainable solutions to strategic client issues and requests.
- Provide relevant industry, company, program, and operational knowledge to support client and internal business needs.
- Investigate reporting discrepancies, data issues, and system or process challenges, using sound troubleshooting and analytical judgment to identify root causes and solutions.
- Support the development and delivery of client or internal training related to reporting, programs, processes, and system functionality, as needed.
- Coordinate resources and follow through on deliverables to ensure commitments and deadlines are consistently met.
- Travel onsite, as needed, to support strategic clients and business partners.
- Maintain consistent adherence to Valeris policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete required corporate training and compliance activities within established deadlines.
- Demonstrate and promote Valeris values through professional conduct, collaboration, accountability, integrity, and commitment to client success.
- Take initiative in identifying opportunities to improve team performance, processes, and the overall client experience.
- Perform additional duties, analyses, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and all levels of management.
- Exceptional client-service mindset with a strong commitment to responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism.
- Strong sense of urgency and personal accountability.
- Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, data querying, or business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly medical billing, coding, healthcare administration, revenue cycle management, or related areas.
- Experience developing dashboards, performance reports, or other data visualization tools.
- Experience working directly with strategic or enterprise-level clients.
- Experience presenting analytical findings and recommendations to senior leadership or external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting client implementations, program enhancements, process improvement initiatives, or complex account requirements.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Prefer candidates who can type at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
- Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
