We are seeking an Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting, payroll, administrative for the business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, staying organized, and supporting both financial operations and employee processes in a fast-paced service and construction environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, experience with accounting and office administration, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Key Deliverables
- Own the month end accounting close
- Monthly financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP and delivered accurately and timely
Position Responsibilities
- Ensure accounting of month-end close responsibilities are completed timely; ensure financial statement integrity, including balance sheet account reconciliations
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address AP/AR-related inquiries and discrepancies
- Ensure proper job costing of projects and service work according to GAAP
- Prepare WIP schedule
- Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations and coordinating with external auditors to ensure successful engagement
- Support team with key strategic and process improvement initiatives including new financial technology implementation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or HR support experience
- Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll, and administrative processes
- Certified payroll experience is a plus
- Construction or service industry experience preferred
- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum, Simpro, or similar ERP systems preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service mindset
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $75-90k, based on experience
