Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker with the Youth Crisis Center (CY-FAST) in Provo, Utah! With a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour , this role offers the opportunity to support children and youth experiencing mental health challenges while working alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team. CY-FAST (Children, Youth & Family Assessment Stabilization Team) provides services including mobile outreach, respite, group therapy, and support with Medicaid hospitalizations. Through respite services, Human Service Workers spend time with children and youth who may need a break from home while giving parents and caregivers a much-needed break from caregiving responsibilities. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, adaptable, and passionate about supporting youth and families in the community.
Schedule: Monday-Saturday (Days are Varied), 2:00 PM-8:00 PM
Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE and Licensure

What You'll Do as a Human Service Worker
- Provide compassionate support and supervision to children and youth receiving CY-FAST services.
- Provide respite support by spending time with children and youth while giving families a break from caregiving responsibilities.
- Participate in structured activities that promote positive social, emotional, and coping skills.
- Support youth experiencing behavioral or mental health challenges.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging environment.
- Observe and communicate changes in behavior, needs, or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, peer support specialists, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate important information to the treatment team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
- Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
- Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
