Seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our interdisciplinary team working with individuals diagnosed with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or General Mental Health diagnosis under Court Ordered Treatment at our Desert Cove Recovery Health Center.
Full-Time Employment: 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: 10844 N. 23rd Ave., Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85029

NOW OFFERING AN ADDITIONAL $1.50/hr. SMI DIFFERENTIAL
Duties Include:
- Assist clients with identifying treatment and recovery goals, and provide supportive services to help clients reach their employment, education, and community involvement goals.
- Implement services identified in Individual Service Plans, and coordinate rehabilitation-related services for clients served on the clinical team.
- Communicate and document client progress toward their recovery.
- Embrace the recovery philosophy and promotes a safe recovery environment for clients.
- Use brief clinical interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and supportive listening skills to engage and support clients receiving services.
- Engage and provide direct support to clients natural support systems.
- Work in partnership with co-located Employment Specialists and RSA Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, community program providers, and other parties involved to assist clients in maintaining employment, education, and other meaningful daily activities.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 3 years of behavioral health employment experience, or
An associate's degree in behavioral health with at least 3 years of behavioral health experience, or
- A bachelors degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or
- A bachelors degree in the field of behavioral health and any behavioral health experience, or
- A masters degree or higher in the field of behavioral health.
- 1 year of supervised experience as a Rehabilitation or Employment Specialist, or Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor preferred.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Must be able to pass typing assessment with minimum 25wpm.
- Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen is a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish/ASL is desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have valid Arizona drivers license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Healths driving policy.
- Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
- Must pass a TB Test.
