We’re looking for Contract Administrators to join our Major Projects Team, based in Adelaide and Brisbane.
As a Contract Administrator, you will support the administration of construction and services contracts for a major project or projects. Working closely with senior members of the Supply Chain team, you will gain exposure to contract administration activities across the project lifecycle. The role will be primarily office-based, with occasional site visits required.
Experience or exposure to contract administration, procurement or commercial activities within the infrastructure, construction or resources sectors is essential. You will bring strong attention to detail, sound communication skills, a willingness to learn and an approach aligned with Major Corporate and Contracting values.

What you'll do
- Assist with the administration of services and construction contracts in accordance with project execution plans and client requirements.
- Support senior team members with contractor performance monitoring, claims administration and risk management.
- Collect and coordinate contractor performance information for project reporting dashboards.
- Liaise with project teams to help ensure contract deliverables meet safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements.
- Maintain accurate contract records, registers and contract data systems.
- Prepare and track routine contract correspondence, notices, variations, site instructions and extension-of-time documentation under guidance.
- Assist with processing contract progress claims through to payment certification and client endorsement.
- Support cost, schedule and end-of-month reporting by collating and checking relevant contract information.
- Assist with claim reviews, including milestone and value-earned assessments where applicable.
- Prepare meeting materials, capture actions and support contractor progress meetings.
- Escalate contractual issues or disputes to senior team members and assist with supporting documentation.
- Assist with the timely closeout of contracts.
About You
- A tertiary qualification in supply chain, law, business administration, quantity surveying, construction management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience or exposure to contracts administration, procurement, commercial support or project delivery, ideally within the infrastructure, construction or resources sector.
- A basic understanding of contract terms and commercial principles, with an interest in developing your capability in claims and contract management.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn procurement and project systems.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative approach and a willingness to learn.
