ABOUT THE ROLE
The objective of this position is to supervise the drivers, mechanics, yard and plant employees in all aspects of their roles enhancing seamless customer service for the designated area. The Ready-Mix Supervisor will take responsibility for employee education, performance, safety, and environmental compliance and will assist with developing ongoing efficiencies within the area.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

- Develop and instill a site level safety culture with an objective of “zero” harm; lead bi-weekly toolboxes and monthly Safety Meetings; act as Management representative of JHSC and ensure compliance with applicable health & safety policies and initiatives.

- Lead the development, motivation and training of direct reports; manage employee performance, corrective action and discipline; assist with recruitment, hiring and onboarding; ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment standards.

- Operations Supervision: Review and update operational control policies and procedures; coordinate decision making and problem solving with the team; supervise 3rd party mechanical and electrical maintenance as needed.

- Production: Monitor process operations to maximize production rates and achieve OPIs; protect plant equipment and maximize utilization and reliability; maintain inventory records; provide triage for digital services and source equipment for specialty production requirements.

- Assist with fleet maintenance and availability; provide on-site fleet support, including breakdown assistance and towing decisions; assist dispatch with large scale pours, pre-pour meetings and traffic planning.

- Labour: Shift Schedules, People Development and Management.

- Production & Customer Focus: Manufacturing KPIs and Maintenance management; Shipping & Quality KPI’s; Conflict resolution.

- Digital Services & Financial: Tablets, Operating/Production platforms, Communication systems; stay within operational budget.

- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Field of Study Preferred: Civil Engineering Technologists diploma considered an asset
Required Work Experience: Considerable knowledge of concrete and concrete production
Required Technical Experience: Intermediate level comfort working with various software programs, strong computer skills
Required Training/Certifications: Class 1 or 3 driver license with air endorsement.

Additional Requirements:

- Hands on knowledge of safe driving methods and practices

- General knowledge of mobile equipment operation and maintenance

- General knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, company policies and procedures and labor regulations and union contracts

- Experience with post-incident testing and incident investigations an asset

- Open to flexible working schedule, dependable, positive and helpful attitude

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with employees at all levels, department officials, public and private agencies, and the general public

- Ability to present information verbally or, in writing, in a clear and concise manner

- Intermediate level comfort working with various software programs, strong computer skills

- Understand DOT requirements

- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
