Sample Preparation Technician

Job Title: Sample Preparation Technician Job Description The Sample Preparation Technician supports a high-throughput analytical process by preparing and extracting samples with precision and consistency. This role suits someone who enjoys structured, repetitive tasks, works with a high level of accuracy, and follows established procedures carefully. The technician uses basic computer skills to document work and ensure that all samples meet quality and safety standards before analysis. Responsibilities

- Prepare and extract samples to support a high-throughput analytical process, following established protocols and procedures.
- Handle repetitive sample preparation tasks with consistent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Label, organize, and track samples to ensure they are processed in the correct sequence and without mix-ups.
- Use basic computer systems to enter, update, and maintain sample data and preparation records.
- Follow exact measurements, timings, and handling steps to ensure sample integrity and reliable analytical results.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, equipment, and tools used in sample preparation.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures, including the proper use of eye protection, lab coats, gloves, and other protective equipment.
- Lift and move materials or equipment as needed, including items weighing up to 50 pounds, while following safe lifting practices.
- Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to meet throughput goals and timelines for sample processing.
- Report any deviations, issues, or concerns with samples, equipment, or procedures to the appropriate personnel.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesterfield, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
