## Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Senior Analyst – Compliance is to serve as an advanced compliance professional responsible for conducting complex investigations, compliance reviews, due diligence assessments, monitoring activities, and basic risk analyses. The Senior Analyst assists with evaluating regulatory, operational, and financial crime risks and preparing recommendations regarding appropriate corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies. The Senior Analyst may serve as a subject matter expert within assigned compliance functions and may provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members but is not typically responsible for direct personnel management.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

## Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Independently conduct both routine and complex investigations, compliance reviews, comprehensive audits, and due diligence assessments.
- Identify, evaluate, and escalate regulatory, operational, reputational, and financial crime risks across business operations and transactions.
- Develop well-supported recommendations, comprehensive investigative memoranda, risk assessments, and compliance reports for management and key stakeholders.
- Manage multiple assignments and competing priorities effectively while exercising sound risk-based judgment and maintaining strict confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Apply and maintain compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Title 31 requirements, Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR), Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions, and anti-money laundering (AML) principles.
- Ensure operational and departmental adherence to Nevada Gaming Statutes, Nevada Gaming Commission Regulations, Nevada Gaming Control Board requirements, Internal Controls, and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
- Execute compliance monitoring programs, investigative methodologies, audit processes, due diligence practices, and risk assessment principles across property operations.
- Review and align business practices with Company policies, operational procedures, and compliance standards, identifying potential violations and recommending corrective action or control improvements.
- Perform patron due diligence, source of wealth reviews, and enhanced due diligence (EDD) assessments.
- Analyze transactions, customer wagering activity, operational processes, and documentation for potential non-compliance or unusual activity.
- Research applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance at the direction of leadership.
- Support regulatory examinations, internal and external audit coordination, and compliance testing activities.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to compliance analysts and specialists as assigned.

## Minimum Qualifications

- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required gaming licenses or registrations (e.g., Nevada Gaming Control Board work card/registration) and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- Preferred professional certifications Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), International Compliance Association (ICA) Certification, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or other relevant industry credentials.
- 4 to 6 years of compliance, AML, gaming regulatory, audit, investigations, legal, or risk management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting complex regulatory investigations, due diligence reviews, and compliance audits within gaming, hospitality, or financial services, Researching, analyzing, and applying statutory, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and compliance-related software, databases, and case management systems.
- Working knowledge of BSA/Title 31, AML program frameworks, SAR/CTR filing standards, and OFAC sanctions lists, Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations, NGC regulations, and casino Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
- Investigative methodologies, fraud detection, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
