DESCRIPTION

The legal counsel will serve as a trusted legal counsel and business partner to designated commercial units and functions. The role provides practical, business-oriented legal support across day-to-day commercial operations in China, advises stakeholders on a broad range of commercial and corporate legal matters, supports dispute and investigation management, and contributes to the AI-assisted development and reuse of legal knowledge resources.

Key Responsibilities

·          Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts and other legal documents relating to day-to-day business operations throughout China.

·          Assist with claims, disputes, government investigations, litigation and arbitrations involving matters such as channel partners, export controls, product liability and contract performance.

·          Provide timely, practical and commercially focused legal advice to relevant stakeholders on commercial and other corporate legal matters.

·          Maintain and continuously improve legal knowledge resources, including precedents, playbooks, templates and FAQs, to support effective knowledge sharing and reuse across the team.

·          Other matters as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications

·          PRC bar qualification.

·          At least 4 years of relevant legal experience with a strong track record at prestigious law firms and/or in-house legal teams of multinational corporations; experience in the manufacturing industry is highly preferred.

·          Strong business acumen, with a proactive, solution-oriented approach and a high degree of sensitivity to business needs.

·          Strong interest in innovative legal AI tools; hands-on experience with legal technology or AI tools is a plus.

·          Adaptable, quick to learn and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

·          Proficient in spoken and written English, with the ability to review, draft and negotiate legal documents in English.
