Registered Nurse (RN) - Life Support Education Instructor

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with teaching and leadership experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, health and/or adult education related field with three years' experience in critical care and/or emergency services preferred.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in State of applicable state required.
- BCLS, ACLS, PALS Instructor required.
- TNCC, ENPC, ITLS, PITLS, NRP Instructor preferred.
- EMT and EMT Instructor preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Instructs select educational offerings for Health System personnel, other healthcare professionals and community laypersons that enhance effectiveness of emergent health care delivery.
- Assists with course instruction and patient care management for the Code 44 Team to ensure effective delivery of emergent care.
- Develops and fosters an atmosphere of mutual respect and team effort on the part of all health care professionals participating in emergent patient care.
- Ensures the quality of professional services by updating knowledge and skills and continuing professional growth.
- Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for specific age groups served.
