Senior Manager, Product Development and Management - HSBC Global Asset Management

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Product Development and Management .

In this role you will:

- Leading development (feasibility / design / due diligence) and delivery to build out existing fund range for AM’s clients.

- Responsibilities for all stages of product lifecycle, including setting and meeting timelines and cost budget, preparing and presenting business case to key stakeholders and new business committees, ensuring delivery against plan.

- Feeding into and adopting global “best practices” for products from a technical and governance perspective and adhering to applicable internal and external governance requirements for all product development and management activities.

- Influence others locally and regionally and engage globally to deliver solutions.

- Manage the product lifecycle according to the fund governance framework and product policy.

- Maintain a robust FIM-compliant control environment, including timely remediation of audit, regulatory and internal control issues.

- Operate in accordance with the principles laid out in the AM FIM, the AM Product Policies and the Terms of Reference of various governance forums such as the New Business Committees.

To be successful you will need:

- Experience in asset management with a good understanding of various forms of fund structure and different investment strategies, asset classes and instruments. Ideally with knowledge of investment, operations and regulations related to liquidity funds.

- Clear understanding of retail, wholesale and institutional customers’ needs and expectations, and the distribution and advisory models that operate in Asia, as well as strong project management skills, ability to manage competing priorities to tight deadlines, coupled with an appreciation of the regulatory and tax landscape applicable to Hong Kong fund industries.

- Proven track record of successful product development and management within the Asian region.

- Self-starter, who takes ownership, works with minimal supervision and can deliver the right solutions.

- Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple complex initiatives (both at a detailed and macro level).

- Team player with strong relationship building skills to collaborate with all levels across multiple functional areas.

- Excellent organisational and communication (verbal and written) skills.
