Senior Electrical Engineer – Buildings (Queensland)

What you’ll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Queensland Buildings group, you’ll be joining a high performing, collaborative and supportive team. Using your experience in the buildings sector, you’ll contribute to a strong and growing pipeline of projects across markets including aviation, commercial, defence, data centres, precincts, sporting facilities and major event infrastructure. You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with clients to unpack technical problems and lead the development of electrical engineering solutions.

You will:

- Lead the development of electrical engineering advice and designs across medium to large scale projects

- Act as a discipline lead, taking ownership of key engineering outcomes from concept through to delivery

- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated and practical design solutions

- Support project coordination, delivery and reporting, ensuring quality outcomes for clients

- Build and maintain client relationships through consistent delivery and communication

- Grow into more senior client-facing roles and seize opportunities to lead projects

- Contribute to a team culture that is collaborative, supportive and high‑energy

This is a delivery‑focussed role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on in projects while continuing to build their leadership and client capability.

What you’ll bring

- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

- Experience delivering building services electrical design within a consulting, contractor or client‑side environment

- Proven capability leading or contributing to projects in the $50M-$200M range (or similar complexity)

- Experience taking ownership of design delivery, coordination and client interaction

- Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ), or ability to imminently obtain

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams

- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and drive outcomes

- The ability to obtain Baseline clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is highly desirable
