DESCRIPTION

As a Product Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a key role in expanding access to advanced allergy diagnostics in Korea, with a primary focus on supporting the adoption and clinical utilization of the Phadia200 system and ImmunoCAP testing in the primary care market.

This role serves as a dedicated technical and scientific partner for our Korea GP market development initiative. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, and customers, you will provide end-to-end application support from workflow assessment and system evaluation through user training, go-live, application optimization, and post-installation follow-up.

By combining scientific expertise, hands-on application support, and strong customer engagement, you will help customers successfully implement ImmunoCAP testing into routine clinical practice and contribute to sustainable market growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

GP Market Development & Phadia 200 / ImmunoCAP Adoption

- Serve as a dedicated Technical Sales Specialist supporting the expansion of Phadia200 and ImmunoCAP testing within the primary care market in Korea.
- Provide end-to-end application support for targeted customers, including technical assessment, workflow validation, system evaluation, user training, go-live support, application optimization, and post-installation follow-up.
- Support customers in adopting ImmunoCAP by communicating its scientific and technical value and providing hands-on support for workflow implementation and routine clinical use.
- Work closely with Sales and Marketing to identify and prioritize target customers and develop appropriate technical and scientific engagement plans.
- Optimize customer workflows and testing processes to support routine clinical utilization and successful implementation following instrument placement.
- Monitor customer adoption, utilization, application issues, and follow-up actions and provide timely feedback to relevant cross-functional stakeholders.
- Develop standardized evaluation protocols, workflow guidance, training materials, troubleshooting resources, and best practices to enable scalable market expansion.

Technical & Scientific Customer Support

- Provide application and scientific support for ImmunoDiagnostics products and Phadia systems while contributing to the protection and growth of the existing installed base.
- Conduct customer-site visits for system evaluations, application training, troubleshooting, demonstrations, and other technical and scientific support activities.
- Provide laboratory professionals and clinicians with scientific information and technical guidance related to allergy diagnostics and ImmunoCAP testing.
- Support system and assay troubleshooting, including appropriate qualification, performance verification, and investigation of application-related issues.
- Support customer quality activities, including external quality assessment programs, inter-laboratory comparisons, and applicable quality-control requirements.
- Coordinate complex customer inquiries and technical issues with global product and technical support teams when required.
- Develop and maintain technical materials such as evaluation protocols, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, user instructions, and training resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with laboratory users, laboratory physicians, clinicians, and other key customer stakeholders.

Commercial & Cross-functional Support

- Collaborate closely with Sales to identify opportunities for additional assays, methods, and instrument utilization based on customer needs and technical discussions.
- Support customer seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and scientific education activities to increase awareness and understanding of ImmunoCAP and the broader ImmunoDiagnostics portfolio.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, Technical Service, Channel, and regional/global teams to execute strategic market-development initiatives and achieve business objectives.
- Capture field insights, customer feedback, market trends, and application needs and translate them into actionable recommendations for commercial and marketing teams.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction, retention, market development, and sustainable business growth through high-quality scientific and application support.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Chemistry, Bioengineering, Biomedical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in laboratory diagnostics, clinical applications, technical support, technical sales, or a related field.
- Experience in IVD diagnostics and/or medical devices is strongly preferred.
- Experience in allergy diagnostics, immunology, clinical laboratory testing, or automated diagnostic systems is preferred.
- Strong scientific and technical knowledge with the ability to understand laboratory workflows and communicate complex information effectively to customers.
- Demonstrated experience in customer training, application support, system evaluation, troubleshooting, or technical product demonstrations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer sites and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify technical issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with laboratory professionals, clinicians, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in field-based customer environments while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Ability to work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Technical Service, Channel, and regional/global teams in a matrix organization.
- Proficiency in Korean and business-level English communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other job-related analytical tools; experience with EP Evaluator or similar laboratory method evaluation and statistical analysis software is preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites across Korea as required.
