Solicitor - Dispute Resolution Team

Maurice Turnor Gardner is a specialist private client law firm, advising individuals, families, trustees, family offices, charities and businesses both in the UK and internationally.

We are seeking exceptional and highly motivated solicitors to join our growing Disputes team.

The successful candidate(s) will be enthusiastic, commercially minded and intellectually curious, with excellent technical, analytical and interpersonal skills. They will enjoy working collaboratively in a supportive team environment whilst taking responsibility for progressing matters and delivering outstanding client service.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside leading practitioners on a broad range of complex and high-value disputes, with a particular focus on contentious trusts and probate, and related private wealth litigation.

We advise a range of clients including beneficiaries, executors, trustees, protectors, Court of Protection deputies and attorneys under Lasting Powers of Attorney.

The types of work handled by the team include:

- Multi-jurisdictional private wealth disputes.

- Challenges in relation to the validity or construction of wills and trust deeds.

- Acting for fiduciaries and beneficiaries in relation to breach of trust claims, applications for directions/blessing applications or removal.

- Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and other succession or inheritance disputes.

- Property beneficial ownership / TLATA disputes.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate(s) will:

- Be a qualified solicitor.

- Have experience in private wealth disputes.

- Possess excellent academic credentials.

- Demonstrate strong drafting, analytical, organisational and communication skills.

- Be proactive, collaborative and commercially aware.

- Be used to providing a thoughtful, excellent client service.

- Enjoy working collaboratively and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
