Manager - Content Development, Tadka

We are looking for a Producer to help build our library of short-form content.

The role will involve finding interesting stories and formats from creators across markets including Ai generated content, evaluating their potential for our audience, and working with creators to bring selected content to the platform. You will be involved through the entire process - from content discovery and acquisition to creative adaptation and publishing. The role will require a good understanding of short-form storytelling, strong content judgment and an interest in how AI is changing the way content is being created.

Key Responsibilities :

Content Discovery & Acquisition

- Find and track interesting micro dramas and short-form content across global platforms.
- Discover new creators, studios and production teams
- Watch and evaluate content based on story, execution, audience appeal and potential for our platform.
- Build a pipeline of content and creators that can be considered for acquisition.
- Work with the relevant teams on content licensing and rights.
- Keep track of new formats and storytelling styles emerging in the AI content space.

Creator Partnerships

- Identify and build relationships with promising creators.
- Work with creators through the acquisition, adaptation and publishing process.
- Communicate platform requirements and audience expectations clearly to creators.
- Give creators feedback on content and help them adapt their work where required.
- Maintain regular communication with creators and ensure projects move forward smoothly.

Creative Development

- Review scripts and episodes and provide feedback on story, pacing, hooks, cliffhangers and episode structure.
- Suggest changes that can make the content more engaging for a mobile-first audience.
- Evaluate how content can be adapted for vertical viewing.
- Work with creators and internal teams on edits, re-cuts and other creative changes where required.
- Keep track of interesting storytelling formats and share relevant ideas with the content team.

Publishing & Production

- Manage the content workflow once a title has been acquired.
- Coordinate with internal teams on editing, localization, QC, metadata, thumbnails and publishing.
- Make sure content is delivered on time and meets the required quality standards.
- Follow up with creators and internal teams to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
- Maintain clear tracking of titles across different stages of the acquisition and publishing process.

Content Insights

- Track AI content trends, creators and new tools that could have an impact on short-form entertainment.
- Look at audience feedback and content performance to understand what is working.
- Use these learnings to identify better content, creators and formats for future acquisition.
- Share relevant trends and content recommendations with the wider content team.

What We're Looking For :

- 3-7 years of experience in content production, content acquisition, creative development, OTT, digital media or creator partnerships. Familiarity with creator platforms and communities. Understanding of content licensing, rights or IP.
- Good understanding of storytelling and short-form video.
- Strong content judgment and an ability to identify stories that can work for a mobile audience.
- Interest in AI-generated content and the creator ecosystem around it.
- Ability to give clear and constructive feedback on scripts and finished content.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still evolving.
