Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an Android Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing and maintaining high-quality Android applications using Kotlin.

The role will contribute to the development of scalable, secure, high-performance mobile applications by applying modern Android architecture patterns, REST API integrations, reusable coding practices and effective testing approaches. The developer will collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA teams and Backend Developers to deliver reliable mobile experiences aligned with business and customer needs.Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, Payments, Digital Banking, Lending, Wealth Management or Insurance applications will be an advantage.

Software Requirements

Required

- Kotlin: Strong proficiency in Kotlin for Android application development; experience should align with the current project-supported version.
- Java: Good working knowledge of Java for Android development, code maintenance and integration with existing application components.
- Android SDK: Hands-on experience developing, debugging and maintaining Android applications using the current project-supported SDK versions.

- Design, develop, test and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.

Qualifications

- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Professional certifications in Android development, Kotlin, Agile or related technical disciplines are preferred but not mandatory.
- Practical training or demonstrated experience in Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Components, REST APIs, Coroutines, Flow, dependency injection and mobile architecture is required.
- Training in mobile application security, financial technology, payment integrations, testing and performance optimization is preferred.
- Commitment to continuous professional development in Android technologies, Kotlin, Jetpack, mobile security, cloud services and modern application architecture is expected.
