# Job Description Summary
C++ Windows Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, delivering, modernizing, and maintaining production-critical Windows software applications, services, and utilities. Owns the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, documentation, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support. Develops native C++ components, enhances system reliability, resolves complex platform issues, and collaborates with Quality Assurance and Release teams to deliver stable, high-quality, and backward-compatible releases.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain C++ software components, Windows-native services, and system utilities that support business-critical applications. Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, performant, and compliant with established software development standards.
- Own and support the build, release, and deployment ecosystem, including MSBuild projects, batch scripts, installers, and diagnostic tools. Continuously improve build automation, developer productivity, and release repeatability.
- Investigate and resolve complex issues by analyzing application logs, crash dumps, Windows Event Logs, memory dumps, and system diagnostics. Perform root cause analysis and improve product quality.
- Modernize and refactor legacy codebases while preserving backward compatibility and minimizing operational risk. Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, and regression validation, to safely introduce improvements.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, DevOps, and Release Engineering teams to support continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), release readiness. Ensure software releases meet quality, reliability, security, and performance expectations.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, documentation, maintenance, and support activities. Contribute to technical discussions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Required Qualification:
- 3+ years of C++ and Java development on Windows.
- Strong Win32/API knowledge (services, processes, threads, registry, file I/O).
- Experience with IPC (named pipes/events) and multithreading.
- Exposure to Java/C++ integration and proprietary communication protocols.
- PowerShell, Batch and Python scripting.
- Proven debugging/troubleshooting in complex production systems.
- Experience working with legacy codebases and compatibility constraints.
Desired Qualifications:
- WMI/driver-adjacent experience.
- Native build pipeline experience (MS Build/GitHub Actions).
