Job Summary
The Transportation Associate is responsible for the transportation of materials, vehicle operation/inspection, and other duties.
Primary Duties
- Transporting materials to and from facilities
- Load/unload truck
- Inspect truck and follow all safety protocols for vehicle inspection
- Learn & follow detailed work instructions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below
- Operate forklift to load and unload parts off trucks
- Use tow motor and identify core locations
- Pulls pick ticket orders
- Identify and sort incoming product and takes bins from sorting stations and scans to appropriate locations
- Store parts in designated location
- Pull parts needed for production and ship to main plant
- Enter data into and review information in CMS as needed
- Participate in various improvement activities
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid PA Driver’s License
- Previous experience driving a box truck
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers
- Ability to work as a team member
- Proficient in CMS
- Must be able to obtain forklift license
- Must have basic computer/data entry skills
- Ability to stand all day, stoop & bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have clean driving record for past three years & pass DOT drug screen if assigned to drive box truck
- Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements
- Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function
- Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances
- Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences
- Working Conditions: Noise level is usually moderate. Warehouse temperature may reach up to 90 degrees during Summer months.
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse experience required
