Assembler

Shift: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $25.30 an hour + $0.20 shift differential

Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as complying with all OSHA rules and regulations. (THINK SAFETY FIRST.) Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP) including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming and hygiene, etc Complies with plant LockOut/TagOut (LOTO) policy and implements the correct procedure for the LOTO of machines operated Full-time AMD (Autonomous Manufacturing Development) Member CSD (Continuous Skills Development) Pillar Team Member DDS (Daily Direct Setting) support Keep working area clean at all times and in compliance with 5S requirements. Obtain work schedule, obtain daily production paperwork and prepare for operations. Inspect cleaned production equipment, set-up workstation with plastic trays, tubs, trash cans and floor mats as required. May be assigned to perform any job in the department including one or more of the jobs described below or as substitute to cover for vacations or unexpected absenteeism.

Product Assembly

Report to assigned position at conveyor and rotate through stations (Position frank, Hand wrap, Pack tray) as required. Manually obtain franks from incline conveyor and position onto cut pieces of dough as they exit the Rademaker on the conveyor. Manually wrap and roll franks in dough to specification, remove non-conforming pieces to rework tubs. Place completed franks in blankets in plastic trays and position full trays to the CO2 tunnel for further processing.

Filling Cartons

Manually obtain tray franks in blankets as it exits the CO2 tunnel on the conveyor, insert divider and stack 2nd tray on top. Position stacked trays to assembled carton as it exits the case maker on the conveyor and push the trays into the carton as it passes. Monitor packed cases as they move through auto-carton sealer, fill carton maker hopper and clear jams as required. Remove non-conforming product and / or trays and place them in the appropriate rework tubs as required.

Packing Cases

Inspect cleaned packaging equipment, set-up workstation with cases, cartons, tape, trashcans and floor mats as required. Manually assemble cases, monitor packed cartons as they move through auto-carton sealer. Obtain cartons of franks in blankets as they exit the carton sealer and hand pack into assemble case and push through case sealer. Fill carton maker magazine with stacks of carton blanks, clear jams, replace tape rolls as required. Remove non-conforming product and place in the appropriate rework tubs as required.

- 0549.5.4.2.005 – Control of Non Conforming Product
- 0549.6.4.3.001 – Contamination Control

Consolidate rework tubs for future processing and assist other Operators and Assemblers as required. Breakdown and clean the tools, parts and equipment at the end of the shift or when necessary as required. At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.
