Viking Assistance Group is currently seeking an HR Business Partner for its operations in Fuengirola.
We are looking for an individual with broad HR experience who enjoys working in a business-focused role covering the full spectrum of HR activities – from recruitment and onboarding to supporting managers and employees, as well as developing HR processes.
The position is based at our office in Fuengirola, and we would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are already resident in Spain.
About the role
As an HR Business Partner, you will be an important HR resource for our operations in Fuengirola. You will work closely with the organisation, providing support in day-to-day HR activities while also contributing to the development of our working methods and processes.
This is a broad role that would suit someone who appreciates a combination of operational HR work, recruitment and business-focused support.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing and supporting the full recruitment process
• Coordinating the onboarding and offboarding of employees
• Providing ongoing HR support to managers and employees
• Supporting the payroll process and managing administration relating to employment, absence, remuneration and other HR documentation
• Supporting managers with difficult employee conversations, performance follow-ups and employee relations matters
• Advising managers in situations where employees do not follow procedures, do not fulfil their responsibilities or where other employment law matters require attention
• Supporting employer branding and the employee experience
• Contributing to employee learning, development and professional growth
• Supporting the development and improvement of HR processes and procedures
• Managing other HR-related matters in accordance with the needs of the business
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with experience in HR and recruitment who is interested in taking broad responsibility within a business-focused HR role.
You communicate confidently with both managers and employees and are capable of managing your work independently. As priorities within HR can change quickly, we also believe that you are flexible, solution-oriented and comfortable moving between different types of issues and responsibilities.
You demonstrate integrity and sound judgement and are comfortable providing support in both routine HR matters and more sensitive employee relations cases.
We would particularly welcome candidates who:
• Have experience in a broad HR role, including recruitment
• Hold a relevant qualification in HR, personnel management or a related field
• Have experience of, or a good understanding of, payroll processes and HR administration
• Have experience supporting managers with employee relations matters, difficult conversations and follow-ups
• Speak a Scandinavian language as well as English
• Are self-motivated, well organised and able to inspire trust
• Enjoy working in an international and business-focused environment
Experience within an international organisation and previous experience of HR work in Spain would be advantageous.
Location
The position is based at Viking Assistance Group’s office in Fuengirola, Spain, and requires an on-site presence.
