Job Duties:
- Responsible for performing specialized investigative and child support work; responsible for the establishment of orders and initiation and follow through of enforcement activities leading to the collection of payments on existing orders.
- Responsible for assigned client caseload from the initiation of required activities, until children reach the legal age of emancipation.
- Required to interview the custodial parent, non-custodial parent, employers, other agencies, staff and the public at large. Gathers information from investigation and research used to determine a legal basis for the establishment of paternity and/or the collection of support payments.
- Assists the Child Support Enforcement Supervisor in the training and review of Child Support Enforcement Technicians I, and responds to public inquiries, and performs the duties of the Child Support Enforcement Technician Supervisors during their absence
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Skill in using legal documents and preparing correspondence of legal nature and substance.
- Skill in applying legal concepts to a specific set of facts.
- Skill in training other staff.
- Must submit to/pass pre-employment drug test/background check.
