🍳 WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Lead Cook, you'll help keep the kitchen running smoothly while assisting with meal preparation and overseeing inmates working in the kitchen.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving meals according to company recipes and standards
- Assisting with food preparation, baking, and cooking while overseeing inmates
- Leading and supporting kitchen operations during assigned shifts
- Training, instructing, and assisting team members as needed
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
- Following facility requirements and food safety procedures
- Helping ensure daily kitchen operations are completed efficiently

✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
To be successful in this position, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively in a structured correctional environment
- Ability to read and follow recipes and production guidelines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Ability to obtain facility clearance and approval
Previous cooking or institutional kitchen experience is preferred, but it is not required - we can train motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow with our company!
