Automotive Parts Manager

ONeills Chevrolet – Avon, Connecticut

ONeills Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department. We are looking for a hands-on manager with strong automotive parts experience and a proven ability to manage inventory, control expenses, and support a busy service operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager looking for a stable position with a five-day work week, no weekends, and no holidays.

Responsibilities

- Manage all day-to-day Parts Department operations

- Maintain appropriate parts inventory levels and availability

- Monitor inventory aging, obsolescence, and special-order parts

- Manage ordering, receiving, returns, and manufacturer programs

- Maintain accurate inventory counts and controls

- Monitor department gross profit, expenses, and overall performance

- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians have the parts needed to complete repairs efficiently

- Manage wholesale and retail parts activity

- Supervise and support Parts Department employees

- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient department

Qualifications

- Automotive parts management and inventory management experience required

- GM/Chevrolet dealership parts experience is preferred, but not required

- Strong understanding of dealership parts operations and inventory controls

- Good organizational and communication skills

- Ability to lead employees and work effectively with Service and Sales departments

- Comfortable working with dealership management systems and manufacturer parts programs

Schedule

Five-day work week – Monday through Friday

No weekends. No holidays.
