CUSTODIAN

AT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Custodian to join our Safety & Facilities Management Team in. This position will perform the duties of maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the Corporate Campus. This position will also assist the Sr. Mgr. of Facilities in maintaining other areas of the property including the offices, breakroom, restrooms, and common areas.

DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

- Cleaning office furniture and dusting surfaces

- Sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets

- Make sure space is clean, free of clutter and litter

- Cleans and stocks restrooms

- Empties trash cans in breakrooms and restrooms as well as outside.

- Wash windows

- Clean doors and door handles

- Clean out refrigerators

- Clean breakrooms by wiping down all tables and chairs and cooking equipment

- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

- High School Diploma/GED

- A desire to learn modern methods and techniques of janitorial work, materials, and methods

- Thorough knowledge of proper safety techniques and procedures

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as well as to work independently

- Ability to communicate, both verbally and written

- Spanish speaking is a plus

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

- Occasionally required to operate objects, tools, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

- Wear the proper PPE when handling chemicals

- Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
