What you’ll do:

- As a Development Platform Operations Engineer in Regnology’s Environment Management & FinOps (EMF) team, you will help operate and continuously improve the shared development, test and pre-production environments used by R&D teams globally.
- The role combines environment operations, troubleshooting, automation and FinOps. You will work closely with R&D, Platform Engineering and Infrastructure teams, while contributing hands-on to EMF’s Command Center and FinOps Platform. Our operating model is self-service and automation first, increasingly supported by AI, with a strong focus on Start-of-Day readiness, Path-to-Live alignment and developer productivity.
- Your key accountabilities are:
- Keep shared development, test and pre-production environments healthy, available and ready for engineering teams across regions, including capacity and performance awareness.
- Monitor environment health, investigate incidents, troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate root-cause resolution with the relevant owning teams.
- Support the full environment lifecycle, including provisioning coordination, configuration, access, maintenance, optimization and decommissioning.
- Contribute to regional Start-of-Day readiness and structured handovers in a follow-the-sun operating model.
- Identify and help close Path-to-Live gaps so development, pre-production, performance and production environments remain sufficiently aligned and representative.
- Automate repetitive operational work using Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, scripting, runbooks and safe self-service capabilities.
- Contribute to FinOps by identifying optimization opportunities and supporting owned initiatives through to measurable cost savings with the relevant teams.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve EMF’s Command Center and FinOps Platform based on real operational needs.
- Maintain operational documentation, KPIs and clear communication while collaborating across R&D, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance and other stakeholders.

Why we should decide on you:

- Several years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations or Infrastructure Engineering, with strong troubleshooting and operational ownership.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes and containers, together with at least one major cloud platform; GCP is preferred, with Azure and/or AWS also relevant.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, preferably Terraform plus Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.
- Experience with monitoring and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, Loki or cloud-native monitoring solutions.
- Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD and development tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins and preferably GitOps/ArgoCD.
- Understanding of FinOps / cloud cost optimization and capacity management, or a strong interest in developing these skills.
- Ability to work across team boundaries, communicate clearly in English with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and take ownership through to resolution.
