About this role
As Technical Program Manager for the Quantum AI facilities team, you will drive large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure and capital delivery projects through the entire lifecycle, from concept, design, and fabrication to operational acceptance. Operating as a central internal authority, you will bridge cross-functional teams, unify separate technical workstreams, and orchestrate execution across engineering, construction, and external partner networks (developers, contractors, engineers, and vendors).
The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- 5 years of experience working with multi-disciplinary design and construction throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience directing high-value capital project portfolios and leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of total operational time.
- Manage end-to-end execution of capital infrastructure programs, aligning complex technical deliverables with organizational milestones.
- Direct program budgets, integrated master schedules, and phase-gate reviews to ensure capital efficiency and on-time delivery.
- Orchestrate collaboration across engineering, construction, and operations teams to bridge silos and unify program objectives.
- Identify and mitigate critical path risks, triaging complex technical challenges to maintain project momentum.
- Standardize communication protocols and language within the various teams to provide progress tracking and performance metrics for reporting.
