Position Summary
Acting as a liaison for the commercial operation of VEM Business Unit, this position is focused on ensuring the success of both the internal and external customers along the entire VEM customer journey. This requires the management of VEM sales orders, customer inquiries, and overall inventory communication. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for interfacing directly with customers to plan product transitions, solution service disruptions, and communicate VEM product changes in coordination with specific product managers.
Principal Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers and sales representatives regarding inquiries, order status, backorders, product changes and pricing related to VEM products.
- Monitor and release product constraints and exclusions to ensure appropriate allocation and timely release.
- Work directly with marketing and sales on inventory transition plans during VEM product introductions to ensure customer success.
- Monitor and take appropriate actions to mitigate E&O on VEM products. Actions include escalation to management as well as managing the product constraint process.
- Responsible for order management, which can include (with the assistance of Customer Service
personnel, as required); sales order processing and monitoring, when applicable, verifying pricing, and inventory levels
- Assist marketing in completing Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Pricing (RFP).
- Investigate and resolve system problems in regards to data management as well as order management.
- Monitor and release VEM orders in SAP to facilitate distribution processing
- Work with sales representatives and customers to sell/donate expired or on reserve products
- Interface with key departments, e.g. VEM Marketing, Customer Service, Scheduling, Demand Planning, Accounting, distribution center and manufacturing personnel (both domestic and international facilities) in support of order management processes
- Support customers, both internal and external, with Non-Sterile Sample Requests
- Provide feedback regarding potential process improvement ideas
- Other responsibilities as needed and assigned by management
- Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain or preferred) or 5 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years customer service or sales experience required
- 3+ years of consumer packaged goods or medical device experience preferred.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization required.
- Proficient in SAP
- Proficient knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
- The ability to accurately handle complex processes and multi-tVEM in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical manufacturing and/or distribution preferred.
