On-Campus Adjunct Instructor - Engineering

The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's School of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics (SETA) is looking for Adjunct Instructors for our engineering program. This in-person teaching opportunity will begin Spring 2027 on our main campus in Manchester, NH. You may have the opportunity for course development. You will report to the Associate Dean for SETA.

We are in search of candidates for the courses below. You are welcome to apply if you have expertise in just one subject area. Course availability and assignments are subject to scheduling and enrollment needs and are not guaranteed.

Courses we are seeking instructors for:

ETE202 - Strength of Materials

EE305 - Electrical Machines

EG110 - Engineering Ideas into Prototypes

EG310 - Junior Engineering Design

What you'll do:

- Teach course(s) as scheduled based on availability and assignment
- Participate in course content development
- Access student work and provide prompt feedback
- Use Brightspace (the Learning Management System) to support the course

What we're looking for:

- 3+ years of related professional experience
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline
- Teaching experience at the college level or training/mentoring of industry professionals is preferred

Compensation

The standard compensation for courses is $2,800 - $3,400 per 16-week undergraduate or graduate course. Actual pay is determined at the time of course assignment based on discipline.
