Registered Veterinary Technician

SouthPark Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment and enjoys the variety that comes with balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. In this position, you will play an integral role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, supporting the medical team while helping ensure each patient receives thoughtful, efficient, and compassionate care. Your ability to anticipate needs, communicate effectively, and confidently move between different areas of the hospital will help create a consistent, high-quality experience for patients, clients, and the entire care team.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows

- Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

- Assisting in surgery

- Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography

- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation

- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately

- Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital

- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

This role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.

Schedule and compensation:

- Compensation: $27 - $30 per hour, for each hour worked

- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, with a rotating Saturday.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

- 3+ years of veterinary technician experience

- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Colorado **

- Proficiency in the following skills:

Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery

- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique

- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography

- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement

- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations

- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing

- Accurate medical record documentation

- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques

- Client education and communication

**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
