About this role
The Production Manager will manage the production process in a 24-hour operation to achieve company goals for safety, quality, and production. The Production Manager will foster an environment of continuous improvement, monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs, while generating revenue by developing and delivering innovative processes. This individual will also provide process-wide technical support, as well as implement company/industry wide initiatives, policies and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and enforce the production schedule
- Manage direct labor budget
- Ensure all employees safety and Safe Quality Food policies are strictly adhered to
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
- Coordinate plant's training program, including the deployment and execution of the AskApp
- Manage 5 Production Supervisors, overseeing 4 production crews
- Establish a working environment which promotes the importance of employees acting with integrity and in an ethical manner
- Ensure the execution of key internal controls within the area of responsibility
- Demonstrate commitment to the Ardagh core values and policies and procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years college or equivalent managerial experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, manufacturers and employees
- Computer aptitude including MS Office or similar, and SAP
- Beverage can manufacturing experience is highly desired
