Job Summary
The E-Commerce Electronics Specialist is responsible for the handling and production of electronics items such as computers, laptops, tablets, smart devices, and game consoles to be sold on the e-commerce auction-based website and within the retail stores.
Essential Functions
- Build, disassemble and /or repair electronic items for the use of resale.
- Obtain and record true and correct licensing on products as needed
- Write clear, accurate critical detail descriptions for items
- Photograph items to department standards for aesthetic presentation and composition
- Proficient in search engine use and basic computer skills.
- Provide customer service via email and phone to ensure prompt, accurate and professional management of customer inquiries, including questions/concerns/issues about listed items, and correcting errors.
- Achieve department production goals for listing items and average sales goals, as established by the E-Commerce Manager.
- Attend and actively participate in all on-going training.
- Ensure work areas are maintained, organized, clean and safe.
- Assist in the expansion of the listing software by staying up to date on new functions, requesting additional apps and features, providing feedback and attending any necessary webinars.
- Actively participate in team building exercises.
- Assist in the training of new hires when necessary.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and as scheduled 1 on 1's.
- Have the motivation to cross-train in other areas of the department to increase job fluidity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Computer, Internet, and Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
- IPhone/IOS and/or Android experience required.
- Extensive knowledge of electronic items up to and including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, smartphones, and video game consoles.
- Knowledge of Microsoft and other operating systems and their licensing terms and agreements.
