Job Details:

Pay is $27.00 per hour PLUS $2.00 shift differential.

MUST have a valid State Commercial Driver's License. Motor Vehicle Requirement (18 years of age, valid State Commercial Driver's License., and no DUI/DWI’s within the last 12 months).

MUST have 12 months' work history within the past 18 months.

Must be able to understand labels, read recipes, follow instructions, and communicate effectively.

Job Title: Yard Driver

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation, movement, and delivery of freight while maintaining compliance with all company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. The Yard Driver operates diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations to move empty and loaded trailers throughout the facility and staging areas. This position is also responsible for trailer sanitation and maintaining a clean work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operate diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations in a safe and professional manner.
- Move empty Tyson trailers from designated staging areas to shipping docks.
- Move loaded trailers from shipping docks to assigned staging areas for shipment.
- Ensure trailers are properly positioned at docks to support shipping operations.
- Wash out and sanitize trailers as needed.
- Assist with housekeeping and cleanup activities around shipping and trash dock areas.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and safety requirements.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required.
- Maintain a safe work environment and immediately report safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with shipping personnel, supervisors, and other team members.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management or supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must possess a valid commercial driver's license.
- Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Ability to safely operate tractor/trailer equipment.
- Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers frequently throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb as required.
- Ability to work around moving equipment and vehicle traffic.
- Ability to perform sanitation and cleanup duties as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.
