Job Summary:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of automated conveyor systems and associated equipment. The incumbent will coordinate with internal teams to ensure optimal system operations and minimize downtime.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, align, and test new automated conveyor systems according to layout specifications, manuals, and electrical/mechanical schematics
- Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems including, but not limited to, lubrication, adjustments, belt/chain replacements, and cleaning
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions of automated conveyors, motors, sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and related electronic controls
- Troubleshoot issues with system PLCs, variable frequency drivers (VFDs), and human machine interface (HMI)
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and diagrams
- Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to coordinate installations, repairs, and system upgrades
- Maintain documentation of all work performed by updating logs and checklists
- Adhere to all lockout/tagout, confined space, and other safety procedures

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

- 18+ years of age with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent with at least 3 years of experience working on automated material handling conveyor systems AND Demonstration of the following skills and abilities through education, certifications, military, or other experiences:
- Electrical and mechanical tools and test equipment experience
- Ability to read and understand electrical, PLC, and mechanical blueprints/schematic
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other major PLC brands
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas through various mediums
- Ability to process information with high levels of accuracy
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 100 pounds, work at heights using ladders/lifts)
- Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed
- Ability to wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)

Preferred Qualifications:

- Vocational degree, technical diploma, or certificate in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field

Work Schedule:

- Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

The expected starting pay range for this position is between $29.15 - $36.45 per hour

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.  This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
