Job Description: T he  Shipping Lead  supports the supervisor in coordinating daily shipping operations to ensure orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.

Job Summary:   This position works closely with other departments to locate missing cartons, expedite shipments, and resolve issues that may impact customer expectations .

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and leadership by setting a positive example for other associates.
- Monitor workflow throughout the Shipping Department to ensure daily shipping requirements are met.
- Organize and prioritize work to meet established shipment timelines and customer expectations.
- Provide guidance, direction, and support to shipping staff as needed.
- Communicate changes in workload, priorities, and shipping requirements to department personnel.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments, shipping personnel, carriers, customers, and other external parties as needed.

Education and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED required.

Training in  warehouse operations.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull boxes, cartons, and shipping materials.
- Ability to assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb as required to perform shipping duties.
- Ability to handle and move cartons and packages safely throughout the shipping area.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical activities associated with shipping, sorting, staging, and loading.
- Ability to visually inspect shipping labels, cartons, paperwork, and order information for accuracy.
