Key Responsibilities ​

Develops data and information management and analytics patterns and blueprints establishing principles, reference architectures, guardrails, and standards. Enables data confidentiality, integrity and availability Optimizes data architecture, data models and database including designing, developing and deploying improved conceptual, logical and physical data artifacts. Defines data standards including design patterns.  Develops data and metadata policies and procedures for structural design and development to build, maintain and leverage the data model, ensuring integration with corporate data standards

Key Activities

- Influences and deep focus on technical Data Architecture standards & guidelines, Data Management practices, policies and procedures​
- Provides technical leadership for legacy platform modernization
- Proactively mitigates data risks with advanced security/compliance controls
- Ensure adherence to the standards & practices to drive consistency, timeliness, quality, security and delivery of data in a cost-effective and timely fashion​
- Accountable for driving data solutions (PoC to implementation) for service requirements by planning and managing multiple complex data architecture design efforts
- Accountable for oversight on creation and maintenance of the subject area data warehouse / record of reference​
- Champions advanced analytics and AI/ML adoption
- Accountable for review of existing data architectures to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with original objectives​
- Deep focus & accountability on driving innovation and applying industry recognized best practices, compliance standards and techniques to prevent/minimize data redundancies across the organization
- Mentors Data Architecture team on complex challenges around performance, availability and scalability of the physical database
- Evangelize master data management and working with MDM and business teams who own the data​
- Accountable to drive collaboration with the solution and domain architects to develop methods for synchronizing data entering company systems ​
- Works with outside partners to ensure SBD requirements are met
- Evangelize Enterprise Data Governance strategy

Education/ Experience

- Undergraduate degree and 13+ years relevant experience, or
- Graduate degree and 10-12 years relevant experience.
- Additional training or certification in organization change management highly desirable
- Previous experience as a successful enterprise architect highly desirable
- 7 to 10 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines (such as technical architecture, solution architecture, network management, application development, middleware design, information analysis, database management or operations management) in a heterogeneous environment — or five years of experience in solution architecture, business analysis or business strategic planning
- Demonstrated track record of leading high-performance teams toward the successful attainment of challenging goals

- Internal or external management of those units.
