Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst with 0–2 years of experience to support business process analysis, requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder coordination, AI-enabled productivity, and solution delivery. The role is suitable for fresh graduates or early-career professionals who have completed relevant Business Analysis training or certification and are eager to build a career at the intersection of business, technology, data-driven decision-making, and responsible AI adoption in business analysis activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Use approved AI tools responsibly to support requirement drafting, meeting summarization, process documentation, research, and first-draft analysis while validating all AI-generated outputs.
- Identify opportunities where AI, automation, analytics, or digital tools can improve business processes, stakeholder experience, productivity, or decision-making.
- Support senior business analysts, product owners, project managers, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, gaps, process issues, improvement opportunities, and potential AI-enabled use cases.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions, workshops, requirement clarification sessions, and project meetings.
- Prepare business requirement documents, meeting notes, status updates, and presentation materials.
- Support solution validation, user acceptance testing, defect tracking, and requirement traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivered solutions align with documented business needs.
- Research industry practices, AI-enabled tools, automation opportunities, and emerging trends to contribute ideas for process and system improvements.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of relevant internship, trainee, analyst, consulting, product, technology, or operations experience may apply.
- Strong academic foundation in business processes, systems thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, and communication.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile ways of working, business process mapping, and requirement documentation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio or similar process documentation tools.
- Exposure to data visualization or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Good to have Certification or Training Requirement
Candidates must have completed at least one recognized Business Analysis certification, foundational training program, or equivalent structured learning path before joining or within the agreed onboarding timeline.
- Preferred certification: Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA) from IIBA.
- Other acceptable certifications or training: Business Analysis fundamentals, Agile Business Analysis, Scrum fundamentals, Product Owner fundamentals, Requirements Management, Process Mapping, Data Analytics for Business, AI for Business Analysis, Generative AI fundamentals, Prompt Engineering fundamentals, or equivalent university or professional training.
- Candidates without certification must provide evidence of completed formal training, coursework, internship projects, capstone projects, or hands-on business analysis assignments.
- Certification or training should demonstrate understanding of requirements gathering, stakeholder analysis, business process modeling, documentation, problem-solving, solution validation, and responsible use of AI tools in business analysis activities.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to listen actively, ask clarifying questions, and document information accurately.
- Attention to detail and ability to organize information in a structured manner.
- Basic understanding of business processes, systems, data, and technology-enabled solutions.
- Awareness of AI adoption in BA activities, including using approved AI tools for productivity, documentation, analysis, brainstorming, summarization, and insight generation.
- Ability to critically review, validate , and refine AI-generated content before using it in business or project documentation.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including business, technology, QA, product, and project management teams.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and work in a collaborative environment.
- Basic knowledge of Agile, Scrum, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management is preferred.
Good to Have
- Internship or project experience in business analysis, product management, consulting, operations, data analysis, or technology delivery.
- Exposure to tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro, Lucidchart , Visio, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel-based reporting, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar approved AI productivity tools.
- Understanding of process improvement, customer journey mapping, gap analysis, root cause analysis, or AI opportunity identification.
- Experience preparing presentations, dashboards, business cases, AI-assisted summaries, or project documentation.
Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated interest in business analysis through certification, training, internships, academic projects, or self-learning.
- Ability to communicate business problems clearly and document requirements effectively.
- Structured thinking, curiosity, and willingness to learn business domains and technology concepts.
- Capability to work with stakeholders, understand requirements, and support project delivery activities.
- Commitment to completing mandatory Business Analysis training or certification if not already completed.
