Senior Category Buyer - Indirect

The organization manages two brands – Geely and Zeekr – and supports business activities across nearly 20 European countries. As procurement team in this company, we provide scalable, compliant and high-quality procurement support, covering marketing, aftersales, IT, HR and other professional services to enable sustainable brand growth in Europe.

The role
Your role will be to lead and support end-to-end indirect procurement activities across a broad range of categories and projects, based on the needs of the team and management decisions. The category scope may include, but is not limited to, HR, Professional Services, IT, Logistics, Marketing, and other indirect procurement areas. These categories are examples only; depending on business priorities, some may not be part of the final assignment while other categories or projects may be added. You will partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs, develop sourcing strategies, benchmark suppliers and market trends, and ensure that purchasing activities deliver value, compliance, and efficiency.

This is what you will do:

- You will be part of the Procurement team and will be assigned to different indirect procurement projects according to team priorities, workload, and management decisions. The scope may include categories such as HR, Professional Services, IT, Logistics, Marketing, or other indirect spend areas, depending on the business need at the time.

- You will collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to align sourcing activities, leverage synergies, and share best practices.

- You will lead sourcing activities, including RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, and compliance management, ensuring that tendering and supplier selection processes are executed in a transparent, compliant, and well-documented manner.

- You will develop and implement sourcing and category strategies for the indirect procurement projects assigned to you, continuously identifying opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, risk mitigation, and value creation together with internal customers.

This is what you will bring:

- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement, preferably with solid exposure to indirect procurement categories or service-related spend areas such as HR, Professional Services, IT, Logistics, Marketing, or similar, while being comfortable moving across different categories and projects as priorities evolve.

- A proven track record of delivering successful sourcing projects, optimizing spend, improving commercial terms, and building genuine relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience establishing contracts, framework agreements, and long-lasting partnerships with service providers, agencies, consultants, technology suppliers, logistics providers, and other indirect suppliers.

- Ability to influence, guide, and challenge cross-functional stakeholders in a constructive way, balancing business needs with procurement governance, compliance, and value creation.

- You are energetic, hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working with several categories and stakeholders in parallel, with strong communication skills and a pragmatic mindset.

- University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, or a similar relevant field.

- Experience working in an international environment, together with knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP or similar tools, is considered a plus.

- Adaptable to fast-changing environments and resilient under pressure.

- Proficient in English for professional/work purposes; additional European languages are considered a plus.
