About this role

CTP is looking for an Agency New Business Lead to build and run the engine behind CTP's next stage of growth — strengthening CTP's presence in the market, building its pipeline, and helping turn opportunities into lasting client relationships.

We love working with talented people, and we continually look for compassionate co-workers with a collaborative spirit to add to our community. Our work moves quickly, and we’re great at coming together to find creative solutions for our clients' most interesting problems. CTP’s wide array of work can be seen here .

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines disciplined execution with sound judgment. You will manage the weekly rhythm across agency marketing, relationship-based outreach, and active pursuits - doing the work yourself, reading signals from prospects and warm connections, and adjusting the plan when an opening calls for it.

- Agency marketing and market presence : Keep CTP's website, credentials deck, proposal templates, case studies, LinkedIn presence, newsletter, and other owned channels current, consistent, and aligned with the agency's positioning.
- Content and visibility : Coordinate the development, production, and distribution of thought leadership, maintaining an editorial calendar that keeps content moving and builds CTP's reputation over time.
- Market opportunities : Identify PR and amplification opportunities around agency news and client work, and manage CTP’s agency-visibility calendar — events, speaking opportunities, sponsorships — and coordinate execution to make sure CTP shows up where the right people are paying attention
- Pipeline development : Own and execute the weekly outreach cadence across search consultants and target verticals, and build the relationships that turn a target list into a client list.
- Pipeline intelligence : Track every touch, response, and non-response, then translate that activity into a clear view of momentum, risk, and next steps for leadership.
- Relationship judgment : Make thoughtful, real-time calls on sequencing and pacing - when to hold, when to push, and when to act on an opening a contact has created.
- Cross-agency coordination : Coordinate across practice leads, media, content contributors, and leadership to keep a multi-person program moving without becoming a bottleneck.
- Program optimization : Run monthly connection audits and quarterly program reviews, using results to help shape account priorities and the next quarter's plan.
- Escalation and counsel : Bring a strong point of view to decisions involving meaningful relationship capital, including warm introductions, sensitive prior-client conversations, and changes in account priority.
- Pitch management : Coordinate pitch preparation, timelines, and materials so CTP shows up ready to win every time an opportunity goes live
- Decision support and learning : Support Go/No-Go discussions with sharp, well-researched input, and own win/loss documentation so lessons remain visible and actionable to leadership.
- Scalable operations : Maintain the CRM and pipeline dashboard so leadership always has an accurate, current view, and build the trackers, cadences, and operating discipline that make the system repeatable across additional verticals and a growing share of agency marketing.

Who You Are:
You're someone who wants to build something, not just maintain it. You get genuine energy from the ground game of growth - the outreach, the follow-up, and the moment a relationship turns into a real conversation. You're just as invested in keeping CTP's own marketing sharp as you are in pursuing the next warm introduction.

You have hands-on experience running outbound or relationship-based programs, and you think several moves ahead: which connection is worth spending now versus later, which quiet week needs breaking with a bold move, and which agency win deserves a bigger push. You're organized enough to keep multiple relationships and workstreams moving without dropping one, and driven enough that good enough isn't your default.

You're excited by the idea of proving a system works and then being trusted to scale it - first across CTP's own marketing and one vertical, then across everything that comes next.

If you want a role where you are both doing the work and trusted to make the calls that keep it moving - and where success creates the opportunity to own an increasingly broad growth mandate - we'd love to meet you.

Qualifications :

- Approximately 10+ years of experience in business development, agency marketing, growth marketing, or client and relationship management, including significant experience working within an advertising or marketing agency.
- Direct experience running structured, multi-touch outreach or relationship-development programs - not solely executing a marketing calendar.
- Experience supporting agency or professional-services marketing, such as website content, credentials materials, case studies, thought leadership, or owned-channel programs.
- Demonstrated judgment in relationship management, including knowing when to press, when to hold, and when to escalate a higher-stakes decision.
- Strong organizational and tracking discipline, with comfort working in a CRM, maintaining dashboards, and communicating progress through clear weekly reporting.
- Experience coordinating multiple internal stakeholders and parallel workstreams while keeping shared programs on schedule.
- A proactive, competitive, and collaborative approach, with the resilience to sustain momentum when results are measured in quarters rather than weeks.
- Interest in proving a growth model and expanding it over time into new categories and a broader share of agency marketing.
- Ability to commute to our Boston office 2x/week (Tuesday and Wednesday).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Please note, all employees are required to be in-office at our CTP location on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
