The Senior Enterprise Network Technology Engineer is a senior technical role within Enterprise Network

Services (ENS), responsible for designing, implementing and continuously improving bp's enterprise network services.

The role provides deep technical expertise across enterprise LAN, Wireless LAN (WLAN), SD-WAN and network infrastructure technologies, supporting network transformation, site refresh, migration and operational improvement initiatives. The incumbent acts as a senior partner concern point for complex technical issues, provides technical guidance to operations teams and suppliers, and contributes to the development of secure, reliable and scalable network solutions that support bp's global business operations.

In this role You will:

- Design, implement and support enterprise LAN, WLAN and SD-WAN solutions across bp's global network estate.
- Lead technical delivery of network engineering, migration, site refresh and modernization initiatives.
- Act as a senior technical issue point for complex network incidents, major problems and engineering challenges.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Level 2 support teams, engineering peers and managed service providers.
- Engineer and support Aruba switching, Aruba wireless, Aruba Central and associated network management platforms.
- Produce and maintain network designs, implementation plans, technical standards and operational documentation.
- Solve complex routing, switching, wireless, authentication and connectivity issues.
- Drive root cause analysis and implementation of permanent corrective actions.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, operations, project delivery teams and vendors to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Find opportunities for automation, standardization and continuous improvement across the network environment.
- Ensure compliance with bp technology, cyber security and operational standards.

What You will need to be successful:

- Degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Relevant industry certifications are beneficial
- Solid experience in enterprise network engineering within large and complex environments
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco networking technologies
- Experience with enterprise routing, switching and network fix
- Strong hands-on practical skills in LAN and wireless networking technologies
- Proficiency with Aruba switching, Aruba Wireless and Aruba Central platforms
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies and enterprise connectivity solutions
- Familiarity in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues beyond standard operational support
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting network infrastructure projects and migrations
- Experience producing and reviewing network designs and user documentation
- Understanding of network authentication and access control technologies
- Experience working with globally distributed teams, suppliers and service providers
- Strong analytical, solve and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, take technical ownership and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment

Desirable criteria:

- Experience with Versa SD-WAN solutions
- Knowledge with Juniper and Fortinet technologies, Aruba ClearPass
- Ability to reviewing wireless survey outputs and WLAN optimization activities
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts within Azure and/or AWS environments
- Familiarity with network automation using Python, Ansible or REST APIs
- Exposure working in industrial or operationally critical environments
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent knowledge
- Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Versa or Fortinet certifications
