The Digital Pathology Program Manager  for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the development of Digital Pathology implementation projects project plans, project review meetings, project actions, and regular management of the project plans to ensure successful delivery of Digital and Computational Pathology Implementation projects, making sure that implementation delivery and on-time execution accelerates revenue recognition and enables scalable, high-quality deployment performance of these solutions.

You will be responsible for working with internal and external key stakeholders to resolve issues, ensure task completion by establishing priorities and countermeasures with team members and functional managers to make decisions to ensure timely completion, project signoff and project success.

This position is part of the Digital Pathology organisation and will be a fully remote  role, based in the UK. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Digital Pathology Project Implementation Team and report into the Digital Pathology Implementation Team Leader EMEA, responsible for implementing best in class Digital Pathology implementation Pathological healthcare systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Oversee end-to-end Digital and Computational Pathology implementation projects ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Act as the central coordination point between customers and internal teams, translating complex implementation requirements into clear project plans and driving successful execution.
- Build and maintain robust, detailed project plans, managing multiple parallel customer implementations and ensuring transparency across all project phases.
- Monitors progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring high-quality delivery and a smooth customer experience from purchase order to go-live.
- Provide clear reporting and escalation to project sponsors, highlighting project status, risks, mitigation actions, and key decisions to ensure timely project sign-off and success.
- Apply standardised project management best practices, leveraging Danaher Business System (DBS) principles to ensure consistent, reliable implementation delivery across customer sites.

The essential requirements of the job include:

- Proven experience in project management within a medical, healthcare, diagnostics, or regulated technical environment, managing complex customer-facing implementations.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Trello, Jira, or similar platforms.
- A strong track record of delivering multiple projects in parallel, on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact confidently with pathologists, laboratory managers, IT teams, and internal cross-functional partners.
- High level of self-motivation, ownership, and initiative, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote working environment with minimal supervision.
- Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- Digital or Computational Pathology platforms
- Second Language in addition to English
