Are you interested in a Co-op opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities at our site in Plymouth, MN. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.

Your Role:

As the Packaging Engineer Co-op, you will support packaging projects with cross functional teams that include R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations. The role will prioritize workload based on business needs and balance workload to ensure timely launches and business continuation within a cross-functional team framework.

- Assist in the design, testing, troubleshooting, spec creation and validation of medical device packaging to ensure product integrity and safety throughout the supply chain
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory, to ensure packaging meets all regulatory and quality requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.)
- Strong desire to stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to recommend improvements to packaging solutions

- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong interest in medical device packaging and product development with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Basic understanding of packaging design principles and material science

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $26.00 to $29.00, plus overtime eligible. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
