This role supports HSBC’s Emiratization agenda by strengthening the development, engagement, and retention of UAE National colleagues across Infrastructure in the UAE. Based in Al Ain, you’ll work closely with the Emiratization Centre of Excellence, as well as HR and business leaders, to translate strategy into practical programmes and day-to-day support.

The role blends career coaching with hands-on coordination of onboarding, learning, national initiatives, and support for resourcing needs and talent pipelines. You’ll be a partner with line managers and HR to identify and resolve employee relations matters early and constructively, including liaising with the Ministry of Labor where required.

Success looks like clear development pathways, improved engagement outcomes, and a sustainable pipeline of UAE National talent aligned to business needs. You’ll also enhance dashboards and management information (MI) to ensure stakeholders have timely insights and can act on trends and themes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Oversee delivery of Emiratization development support for UAE National colleagues across Infrastructure in the UAE.

- Partner with HR and line managers to design and implement retention actions for UAE Nationals.

- Provide career coaching, including career conversations, development planning, and guidance on progression opportunities.

- Support employee relations matters, including liaising with the Ministry of Labor where required.

- Coordinate induction, onboarding, and ongoing integration in partnership with People Capabilities and HR teams.

- Design and roll out coaching and mentoring programmes with relevant Centers of Excellence to strengthen development outcomes.

- Manage end-to-end logistics for internal and external learning programmes (including Ethraa and EIF) to meet development and mandatory learning requirements.

- Produce dashboards and MI to track KPIs and SLAs and share insights from engagement activities and exit interview themes.

Experience & Qualifications:

- A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a UAE visa and work permit. For degrees obtained outside the UAE, valid attestations and equivalency are also mandatory.

- A full-time undergraduate degree (minimum of three years) is required to obtain a work permit. For qualifications awarded outside the UAE, official attestation and UAE equivalency are also required.

- Significant HR experience delivering talent programmes focused on development, engagement, and retention.

- Strong coaching capability, including career planning, performance conversations, and progression support.

- Proven stakeholder management skills across HR partners, business leaders, and line managers.

- Sound judgement in handling employee relations matters, including appropriate escalation and regulator-facing liaison where required.

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate onboarding and learning activities end-to-end, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

- Ability to produce clear MI, dashboards, and reporting to support decision-making and track programme outcomes.

- Customer-focused and responsive, able to balance competing priorities across multiple teams.

- Strong adherence to internal controls and procedures, with an ability to manage reputational risk in colleague communications.
