Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced machinists with machining operations and component production.
- Operate common hand tools and basic shop equipment safely.
- Learn basic machining principles, shop procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform assigned tasks using detailed instructions and established work procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support production goals while following all company safety policies.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
- Willingness to learn machining practices.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
- Exposure to manufacturing or machining.
- Basic blueprint familiarity.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–3 years of machining experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift materials and safely operate machinery.
Additional Job Information:
- Typical Shift: 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday.
