Cortex is a significant evolution of the Application Framework designed to simplify security operations and considerably improve outcomes. Deployed on a global, scalable public cloud platform, Cortex allows security operations teams to speed the analysis of massive data sets.

Job Summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a top-notch Technical Product Engineer (Cortex Cloud / CNAPP) to serve as a strategic adviser to the business. You will play a key role in providing detailed technical information to our partners, customers, and internal teams while identifying sales challenges and addressing solutions. Working across product teams, engineering squads, and customer-facing organizations, you will deliver actionable direction that shapes the future of our cloud security portfolio. We are looking for a self-starter who is eager to learn and experiment with cutting-edge cloud security technologies both independently and as a teammate.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to provide feedback based on customer needs, field insights, and competitive gaps.
- Drive Cortex Cloud (CNAPP) innovation by enabling use cases across multi-cloud posture, workload protection, and threat detection.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, sales, and product teams to support execution and adoption of cloud security capabilities.
- Lead technical projects across departments to drive alignment, resolve cloud risks, and deliver impactful product outcomes.
- Design and deliver technical content including reference architectures, integration guides, custom rules, and automated remediation workflows.
- Create enablement materials helping enterprise customers adopt and scale Cortex CNAPP solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security engineering or CNAPP technical roles across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep knowledge of CNAPP disciplines, including CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, KSPM, and Cloud Detection and Response (CDR).
- Strong foundation in cloud-native platforms, modern application architectures like Kubernetes, and cloud networking or identity models.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform) and integrating security checks into modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to engage cloud security practitioners and executive decision-makers.
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
- Strong work ethic, organizational discipline, and a high degree of integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience collaborating with Product Management or Engineering teams to shape requirements and influence product strategy.
- Familiarity with automating cloud risk remediation, leveraging contextual risk signals, and building security enforcement workflows.
- Highly self-motivated to master product details, experiment with emerging cloud technologies, and establish scalable best practices.
