As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

- Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity

- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats

- Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports

- Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises

- Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification

- Customer service duties such as welcoming, checking identification, and guiding visitors

- Manage access control

- Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs

- Perform computer tasks

- Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams

- Write incident reports and communicate security concerns

- Answer questions in person or by phone

- Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

- Be authorized to work in Canada

- Hold a valid security license

- First aid certification is required

- Strong report writing skills

- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus

- Strong proficiency with technology

- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
