Warehouse Operative Nights

Here at GXO Logistics , we are looking for part-time Warehouse Operative to join our Wigan team at Heinz Kraft .

This is a permanent part-time role . You will be working 16 hours per week, Sunday & Monday, 22:00 – 06:00

What you will do on a typical day:

- Load and dispatch vehicles efficiently, working closely with the Despatch Team Leader to ensure all loads leave on time and associated paperwork is completed accurately

- Unload incoming vehicles safely and accurately, ensuring goods are receipted correctly, stock is counted, and all documentation is completed within required timescales

- Carry out case picking activities to ensure customer orders are assembled accurately and delivered to the correct destination using the appropriate handling equipment

- Complete stock replenishment tasks, ensuring products are rotated correctly and inventory is maintained through the effective use of warehouse equipment and systems

- Operate a range of warehouse equipment, including Counterbalance FLTs, Reach Trucks, LLOPs, and Radio Data Terminals, while adhering to all operational procedures

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety (HACCP) standards at all times

- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects, contributing to business development programmes and ongoing team learning and development activities

What you need to succeed at GXO:

- Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is desirable

- Experience in order picking, loading/unloading vehicles, and stock control would be advantageous

- Ability to use warehouse systems, handheld scanners, and FLT/LLOP equipment is beneficial

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately, safely, and meet performance targets

- A flexible team player with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to Health & Safety
