The Senior DevSecOps Engineer must be able to meet the key criteria below:

Location: 100% remote. This is a United States based position, and candidates must reside in the continental United States to be eligible for employment.

Years’ Experience: 7+ years professional DevOps experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT related field

Security Clearance: Active Secret security clearance preferred. IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance issued by the Department of War. This agency handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Key Skills:

- Experience designing, building, and deploying in AWS Cloud Services including EKS, EC2, and/or Lambda

- Extensive experience with CI/CD frameworks and containerized pipelines and orchestration using Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Ansible, Docker, and/or Jenkins

- Familiar or hands-on experience leveraging AI Assisted Coding tools (GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot) and Cloud based GenAI foundational services such as AWS Bedrock.

- Must have experience with GitLab and/or GitHub Actions for version control, source code management, and automation of workflows

- Experience with cybersecurity requirements such as secure-by-design and zero-trust architecture

Position Overview

As a DevSecOps Engineer at IBR, you will play a key role in designing and implementing secure, next-generation solutions that support critical missions. As a member of our program supporting the U.S. Navy, you will collaborate with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and a multi-disciplinary team to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and forward-thinking, while remaining aligned with organizational and program goals. Responsibilities

- Support the development team in deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting web applications.

- Build, Design, Deploy, and Monitor new CI/CD workflows, pipelines, and improve the scope of existing ones.

- Plan, develop, and deploy infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible tools.

- Use Ansible as the configuration management tool for maintaining and configuring servers as well as experience with change tracking processes.

- Utilize GitLab to automate code deployments, vulnerability scanning and infrastructure provisioning in AWS.

- Implement AI Assisted Coding workflows using GitLab Duo to accelerate software delivery, automate code reviews, and streamline debugging processes.

- Collaborate with development teams to securely integrate and manage foundational AI models using AWS Bedrock while ensuring data privacy and compliance

- Ensure compliance with security requirements by implementing and managing security controls and policies within the cloud environment.

- Implement migration efforts with application teams.

- Respond to incidents and handling alerts.

- Analyze and resolve issues in the development and production environments.

- Thoroughly document and maintain records of processes, configurations, and system changes.

- Resolve performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure and applications.

- Operate within Agile environments using Jira for issue tracking and sprint management, and Confluence for technical documentation

- Work in an Agile environment as part of a full design and development team, participating in scrum ceremonies, interacting with and supporting our customer.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of professional experience with focus in planning, building and supporting AWS Cloud and DevSecOps environments

- Active Secret security clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

- Bachelor’s degree in IT related field required

- Must have experience designing, building, and deploying in AWS Cloud Services including EKS, EC2, and/or Lambda

- Must have experience with deploying and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code

- Extensive experience with CI/CD frameworks and containerized pipelines and orchestration using Terraform, Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins

- Familiar or hands-on experience leveraging AI Assisted Coding tools (GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot) and Cloud based GenAI foundational services such as AWS Bedrock.

- Extensive DevSecOps experience with the design, install, configuration, security checking during stages, automating software builds, testing, and deployments.

- AWS Kinesis experience for managing data streams and monitoring performance

- Experience with application and system performance monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and/or Splunk.

- Must have experience with GitLab and/or GitHub Actions for version control, source code management, and automation of workflows

- Experience with cybersecurity requirements such as secure-by-design and zero-trust architecture

- Experience utilizing SonarQube for inspection of code quality and identifying bugs and security vulnerabilities

- Experience with Nexus IQ and/or Checkmarx preferred to improve security and identify risks by identifying vulnerabilities preferred

- Experience conducting vulnerability scanning

- Must have experience in Linux and scripting tools such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Experience setting up and configuring monitoring tools for log analysis (Nagios, ELK, Grafana, and/or Prometheus) preferred

- Strong experience operating within Agile environments using Jira for issue tracking and sprint management, and Confluence for technical documentation

- Understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement security measures in CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure

- Must have strong communication skills and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000 USD annually.

This salary range represents the anticipated range for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, work location, internal equity, and business needs.
