As a Landscape Architect, you will support the design and delivery of a wide range of landscape projects including strategic planning, major infrastructure, urban regeneration, and environmental enhancement schemes.

You will work closely with senior team members to contribute to projects at all stages of the design, planning and implementation stages. You will support junior members of the team where appropriate.

You will be able to take instruction from senior members of the team and implement these effectively and independently to ensure successful delivery of projects to identified deadlines and budgets.

If successful, you will have / be able to:

- Demonstrate technical ability, knowledge, and competence to produce plans and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Assist in the preparation of landscape designs, drawings and visualisations.
- Help prepare reports, presentations and planning documents with the necessary level of detail as required using appropriate software.
- Contribute to design discussions and idea development.
- Ensure work is delivered to agreed deadlines and quality standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively and iteratively within a multi-disciplinary design team and external consultants.
- Attend site visits and assist with project coordination including supporting site survey work, site analysis, surveys and research activities.
- Clear communication, including the ability to contribute to conference calls, meetings, and workshops.
- Be aware of and understand the Lanpro procedures, their importance, and their application to projects.

Essential:

- Understanding of landscape design principles and construction techniques.
- Understanding of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and evidence-base documents to support planning applications, development plans and policies in accordance with best practice.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD Software (AutoCAD or similar), Keyscape (or similar planting software) and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong design, graphic and presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

- An understanding of project management, including financial control and reporting and programme management and ability to manage own budgets.
- Knowledge and understanding of the UK legal and planning system with respect to landscape architecture.
- Landscape Institute accredited Post Graduate Diploma (PGDip) and/or master’s degree.
- Enrolled or commitment to being enrolled on Pathway to Chartership with Landscape Institute (P2C).
